Big week for our little family

Big changes this past week- Gabe moved from a sitter to a preschool and he gave up his paci! Can someone say big boy!

David and I have agonized over the decision to move Gabe for over a year now. We absolutely loved his sitter, but she lived more than 20 miles out of the way. We would each spend an extra 45 minutes each day either dropping him off or picking him up. After doing lots of research we decided on a school only 1/4 mile from David's office. We were worried about how Gabe would adjust, but he has done so well! David and I are so happy and relieved! But we do need to work on him feeding himself- hence the picture below- apparently all of the kids in his class can feed themselves and drink from a (real) cup. Yikes!

And we are now a paci free household. For months now, we would leave his paci in his crib and he only got it at nap/ bedtime. He has never asked for it so taking it away wasn't hard at all.

David and I are so proud of our little man!

Happy 2nd Birthday!

Gabe, Happy birthday sweet baby boy! Although I'm not quite sure I can call you a baby anymore seeing as you are two years old! I can say without a doubt that these have been the two more amamzing years of my life. Everyday with you is an adventure! You are full of personality and you bring love, laughter and smiles to everyone around you!

Here's the latest with you....

You talk nonstop! I'm completely serious! You repeat everything!

For a few months now you have been able to rocognize all of your alphabets and your numbers (1-10). I can't believe how smart you are!

You can recite you numbers up until 20 and A-Z!

You are now putting words together- like "truck stuck" and "Poppa, where are you?", "There you are"

Speaking of trucks, you are completely obessed with them! You have a truck in your hands just about every waking moment.

You don't like to be "messed with." You don't like having your haor brushed, brushing your teeth, trimming your nails, etc. You are such a boy!

We have just about phased out your paci. You only have a few that stay in your bed and you only get them at nap and bedtime.

You are still struggling with new foods. You tend to stick with what you know- much like your momma and poppa.

Gabe, Poppa and I love you more than you will ever know! We feel so blessed to have you as our son.

Here are a few pics of your birthday. Boy did you have a ball!!!

Hot mess

Boy can Gabe sweat! He can break out in a sweat like no body's business; I've never seen anything like it. I think when I took this picture it was in the 70's. Poor baby is going to have a rough go seeing as he lives in Louisiana!

Hey, blue eyes!
