"Baby, I'm Here to Stop Your Crying"

Happy Birthday Gabe! You've hit double digits- 10 whole months!!! I cannot even begin to tell you how much Daddy and I are enjoying you these days! We could just eat you up! Here's what you've been up to...

You are now crawling- real crawl not army crawl! It amazes me how quickly you move!

You can pull yourself up onto the sofa and you can pull yourself up in your bed!

You love shaking your head "no" back and forth. You are usually laughing while you do this!

You can clap your hands!

You love to give five!

You are now eating baby yogurt and you love it! We are still too scared to give you table food but you're not exactly hurting for nutrition!

You seem to have dropped your evening nap (5-6 PM) so most days you just take a morning and an afternoon nap and you are still sleeping about 11 hours each night.

You have 5 teeth!

You make the funniest faces!!!

You now sometimes cry when Daddy or I leave the room. I think this may be the beginnings of separation anxiety.

You still babble all the time and "da da" continues to be your favorite!

You're starting to play with your toys more. Your current favorite is your phone/piano!

You and Momma being silly!

Cute little man!

Example of one of your funny faces!

You have the sweetest smile!

Look at you, standing in your crib!

Happy 10 month birthday to the sweetest boy in all of the world!

Love you bunches and bunches,
Momma and Daddy

Stand Up Guy

Yup, Gabe's standing! He pulled up onto the sofa for the first time a few days ago, but I was able to get a picture today! He's also given up the army crawl and now he's officially crawling all over the house! Wish David and I luck!!!

Mardi Gras Mambo

My super fabulous friend Lisa and her sweet little man Davis made the trip all the way from Dallas (through sleet and snow I might add) to spend Mardi Gras weekend with me and Gabe! We had a ball... snow, the Olympics, great food, a new baby on the way(NOT ME- Lisa), Spanish Town parade, two sweet little boys!!!

For the second time in Gabe's life it snowed in BR! Friday morning I was holding him as we looked out on our backyard at the falling snow. I told him that this was snow and asked him what he thought... his reply... "da da" which is his reply to everything these days!

Since the ground was so wet it didn't really stick bit it snowed for about 2 hours!

Gabe and Davis played so hard that Gabe fell asleep sitting up!

Lisa was first introduced to the Spanish Town parade in 2005 while she and her husband Jeff were living in BR. Even though they moved back to Dallas in 06 she has been back every year for the parade!

Let me tell you we were a sight last year! She had a 4 month old and I was 7 months pregnant! She and I usually dress up but this year we decided to dress the kids. Since hot pink is the "color" of Spanish Town the boys wore pink shirts and pink zebra bandannas!

At my office before we headed down to the parade route!

Boys playing before the parade began

Gabe enjoying all of the sights and sounds!

The boys were content to sit back and play while their crazy mommas jumped up and down for beads!

Our two sweet men after the parade... they were so exhausted as were Lisa and I!

Gabe and I were so happy that Lisa and Davis were able to come again this year to spend Mardi Gras with us! Can't wait for 2011.... maybe Lisa and I can ride in the parade and the husbands can babysit!

O, O

Gabe's number one girl, his cousin Olivia, (and Monie and Pappy) came to visit a few weeks ago. Gabe loves Liv, and she is so incredibly sweet with him. I love that she calls him Gabriel. We were trying to get Gabe to call her O,O but he's still a little too young for that. We had a great time watching LSU gymnastics, eating monkey bread and making Valentine's Day cards! Can't wait until Livie's next visit!

Liv enjoying cotton candy... she was oh so sweet to share with me! Us Pitre women love our cotton candy!

Liv trying to give Gabe a kiss. Oh I realize Christmas has come and gone but hey the pj's are warm!

Sweet Olivia even helped dress Gabe!

We love you Livie!!!

My Funny Valentines

This Valentine's Day is doubly special because I have not one but two valentines! I can't tell you how very much I love these two crazy guys! And they are crazy... I can hear them (as I type) laughing at each other in the next room!

Happy Valentine's Day David and Gabe! I love you both bunches and bunches! And a happy Valentine's Day to my first Valentine... my daddy!

Who Dat Baby!

Yeah..the New Orleans Saints are Super Bowl Champs!!! I would hardly call myself a member of the Who Dat Nation, but I'm super excited for New Orleans and the state of Louisiana! You know I can't help but notice that it wasn't until Gabe was born that the Saints actually made it to the Super Bowl and won! He's quite the little lucky charm!

I just had to post this picture. It may be the sweetest thing I have ever seen! I cried when I saw Drew Brees holding his son after the game. I think I now have a not so secret crush on him now!

Apparently my little man decided if he wants to make it to the Super Bowl one day he needs to start lifting weights now! I think it's time to find a safer place for David's weights like ummm the garage.

Rockin' the Faux Hawk!

We had a little time (and mousse) on our hands this evening so I decided to give Gabe a faux hawk. I think we found a new way to style his hair! Oh check out the look he's giving me in the second pic!
