Santa Baby

Just as we did last year we had breakfast with Santa at our church this morning. Gabe was fired up- not quite sure if it was the other kids or the syrup on the pancakes but he was in rare form!

The absolute sweetest part of the morning happened when it was finally his turn to sit with Santa. He walked up to Santa's basket of toys and took out a stuffed dog all the while saying "dog." He then walked right up to Santa, gave him the dog and said "thank you." Too funny!

David and I were worried that he might be a little scared but he was the exact opposite!

Tree Trimming

As was the tradition with my family we pick out our Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately it seems like the rest of BR does this too so the pickins' were pretty slim but we did manage to find one that would do. we decided to wait until Monday night to decorate the tree. I'm not quite sure why I thought Gabe "helping" us decorate would be a good idea. After he threw about half the ornaments across the room we decide it was best to put him in his highchair and give him a snack. I love, love, love decorating the tree because I love the memories that the ornaments evoke. I have a ton of ornaments and I can tell you the story behind each and every one of them!

I wonder how long it'll take till Gabe completely destroys the tree!

Family Pics

My sweet and super talented friend Jean met up with us at LSU to take a few family pics. Truth be told Gabe didn't really want any part of it but we were able to get in a couple good shots.

Thanksgiving 2010

This year we spent celebrated Thanksgiving with the Lanoux family at David's sister, Sandra's house. We had a great time eating yummy food, playing games and since the weather was so nice playing outside!


I love the crazy look on Gabe's face. He loved the trampoline!


Playing with cousin Greg in the trampoline. They are 16 months apart but nearly the same height!



Look at those curls! You can tell the humidity was high!


The boys also loved playing in the dirt. In fact Gabe loved it so much he tried to eat a handful of dirt just a few seconds after I took this picture!

Animal Sounds

This is a few weeks old, but I thought it was too cute not to share. I especially love that while he's "doing the snake" you can see his Cheerio!

Wait a Minute Mr. Postman

Forgive me but I'm in a bit of a sugar haze from all of the candy I ate yesterday- so here goes my account of our super fun Halloween. Here are some pics...

David and I put the finishing touches on our "junk mail" costumes while Gabe napped.




Once Gabe woke up we headed outside to carve our pumpkin. Gabe was very curious about the inside of the pumpkin.

After much thought we decided that Gabe would go as a postman and David and I would go as junk mail. Here's Gabe's wagon AKA mail jeep.



Our fabulous friends Monique and Ace once again invited us over to celebrate the holiday at their house. A couple of us learned the Thriller dance for the occasion... too funny!



Mailman and Junk Mail headed out to Trick or Treat or as Gabe said "Tric Tree"



First house! He was quite excited to get candy from "Snooki"



By the end of the night we were all exhausted but we had such a wonderful time! Happy Halloween!
